Hana Meckler teaches seventh grade English Language Arts and Drama at Blach Intermediate School.  During her time at Blach, she also taught Public Speaking and Creative Writing.  Some of her favorite young adult authors include Lois Lowry, Kwame Alexander, Rita Williams-Garcia, Firoozeh Dumas, Jennifer Nielsen, Laurie Halse Anderson, Pam Munoz Ryan, Jason Reynolds, Paul Fleischman, and many others.  Ms. Meckler is passionate about her students reading and writing.  She looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm for reading and writing with her new students this year!

As Blach’s drama teacher, she has directed a number of plays including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Monkey’s Paw Redux, Spy TV, Princess Impossible, and Sonoma White and the Seven Dolts.  She believes that the theater can provide one of the best ways to bring students together.
