Maya Angelou said, “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”   This is my daily mantra as I work with students.  I have had the honor and  privilege of being an educator for 30+ years.  I am thankful for each day that I get to work alongside and guide junior high students to be the best they can be.  I have served as an elementary teacher, mentor, coach, master teacher, staff developer, teacher on special assignment and my current role as a junior high school resource specialist and English teacher. My educational career started at California State University, Fresno where I received a B.A. in Liberal Studies along with a multiple subjects teaching credential.  Being a lifelong learner and a desire to work with exceptional students, I returned to Fresno Pacific University to earn an additional credential as an educational specialist.  I have a love and passion for cooking and baking, especially anything chocolate.  In my free time you can find me in the garden, at the beach, practicing  yoga, traveling, reading, walking my golden retriever Willow Rose, and spending time with family and friends.
