Title:
Psychologist
Sarah Babcock

Even as a child, I knew that my calling in life was to help others. Though there were twists and turns as I figured out how, I don’t regret any of it. I’m a firm believer in the value of resilience and how our experiences strengthen us. I graduated from U.C. Berkeley with my B.A. in psychology and minor in education, and completed my M.Ed. at U.C. Santa Barbara in counseling, clinical, and school psychology. Prior to coming to LASD, I was a school psychologist for Sequoia Union High School District for three years. Throughout my education and career, I have recognized how vital it is to meet students’ social and emotional needs in order for them to learn and succeed academically. I am grateful that LASD’s commitment to educating the whole child has allowed me the opportunity to assist our students, parents, and educators address those needs. It is a true joy to be returning to Blach for my second year, where our team of educators are so dedicated to our students. Go Falcons! In my free time, I enjoy cuddling with my cat, reading, listening to music, hiking, backpacking, and cooking.
